We were a party of six (three couples) for a Saturday wedding at Mount Edgcumbe. The bride and groom had arranged a special late night return ferry for wedding guests, so the Royal William Yard area of Plymouth was a suggestion for places to stay. The Vottage looked ideal – a short walk to the ferry, a short walk to Royal William Yard for a meal out on the Friday night, lovely bedrooms and well fitted out. It lived up to all that, and Owen was the perfect Airbnb Host. All his ‘standard’ messages in advance were clear and helpful; he and his staff at The Vot next door were friendly and welcoming, and made us feel like special guests, very well looked after. There was some confusion over whether there would be five or six of us, so when we arrived the third bedroom was made up as just a single. Owen went out of his way to sort that out for us, and dealt with everything wonderfully. Very highly recommended!

The Vottage was so lovely, really felt like you were home from home, so clean, it was done up to a great standard. Owen, Warren and the rest of the team were so friendly and helpful. It was set in a lovely location next to the VOT and Royal William Yard. We would definitely go back.

This house was the perfect location for us as we had a wedding in Mount Edgcombe. We were able to walk to the local restaurants and along to the ferry that takes you across to Cornwall. It was brilliant value and spotlessly clean! It has everything you could need and felt so homely. Owen was a great host and helped sort a minor issue with the wifi whilst we were staying. There is a free car park up the road from the property but no parking space with the house which wasn’t an issue for us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Owen’s place was excellent – everything we could want for our stay in Plymouth! Great location with lots of places to eat nearby, but then again why would you when it’s better to eat and drink next door at Owen’s pub, The Vot, which was superb. We slept really well in comfy beds with lovely bedlinen. Having two shower rooms was fab for our group of four. We had breakfast outside in the little courtyard garden and made the most of the glorious weather. All in all a fabulous Airbnb experience. Would highly recommend. Do not be put off by pub being next door. There is a specially insulated common wall, and the pub is homely. No noise at all during our stay. Host Owen should be super host. He was friendly, nearby and responsive. Our stay was perfect. An easy walk to King William Yard for restaurants, and Hutong Cafe for excellent coffee and bagels. We’d stay again. 10/10.
